Hi! My name is Melissa Summers, and I am a native East Texan who was born and raised right here in the "Pineywoods" of Panola County. I am the Broker & Owner of Country Roots Realty and I work daily around Panola, Shelby, and Rusk County and all the neighboring communities. I strive to provide exceptional service and protection to all of my sellers and buyers with the purchase of their dream homes and tracts of land. I have a wonderfully supportive husband whom I have been married to for 25+ years, and we have two beautiful children, a lovely daughter-in-law, a hard-working son-in-law, and the sweetest grandbaby ever. I am the wife and mom of US Marines, so there has always been a special place in my heart for helping our veterans. I genuinely love working with farms, raw land, and all of our rural properties here. We also run a small farm which consists of horses, pigs, chickens, a dog, a loud goose and one lazy cat.
I love our little farmhouse in the woods and so I have chosen to office full time here out of my home. That enables me more productivity time working between the farm and the business, way less overhead regardless of what the current economy is doing, and the extra security that provides.
With the technology all homeowners now have, and e-sign at our fingertips, this allows me to jump over and work real estate really whenever needed. Whether at the home office or on the road with my laptop, I am equipped and ready to work. I enjoy showing properties each day, and I admit, I love every opportunity to meet up at the local coffee shop and go over paperwork in person.
I strongly believe that continued education is a must beyond the minimum requirements, and I can only do the best job for my clients, if I stay on top of all of the evolving aspects of my profession. The Texas Real Estate Commission's rules and documents are always updating, so staying current on what's new, provides extra protection for everyone I work for. Transparency is so very important to me. I promise to treat you like family and protect you to the best of my ability on what could be the single most expensive purchase of one's life.
